Networking with Pride at Elizabeth's State of the City

Last Friday, I had the honor of attending Elizabeth's State of the City hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. As someone with deep family roots here, it was uplifting to connect with fellow businesses driving growth in my mother’s hometown.

The event provided a terrific opportunity to network, learn about new developments, and bridge connections across various industries. I met so many inspiring entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals who are passionate about driving growth in Elizabeth.

A highlight was reconnecting with Mayor Bollwage, a long-time family friend. We reminisced about beloved establishments like my grandparents' local lounge, Chiodo's, and the deep roots my family has in public service here, spanning generations of police officers and public officials.

The Mayor's optimistic address and the contagious enthusiasm of local business owners left me energized and made me realize that our diversity and dedication as a community make Elizabeth an unstoppable force.

If you ever have a chance to engage with your local business network — take it. These collaborations spark new ideas and remind us that through cooperation, anything is possible!
