Small parenting wins that matter!

To watch cheer teams and their routines always brings a smile to my face. Especially now that my youngest daughter Lucia has taken to it with such enthusiasm!

I think back to when Gianna was her age, it seems like just days ago, and now I have another daughter on the team already. Lucia grew up watching Gianna cheer for the All-Star team for multiple World Cups over several years. She always had a fantastic time traveling with her across the States, staying at nice hotels, ordering up room service, and helping Gianna get ready for her cheers (as did the rest of us, these were our vacations really)!

So when Lucia expressed her desire to take up cheerleading, I was more than happy to get her enrolled at All-Stars last December even though it's expensive because I’ve witnessed the great positive effects that it can have on young girls to be part of something so big and coordinated. In fact, it is where Gianna learned to be a great public speaker and networker, also while making some of the best friendships of her life. I have no doubt that this is going to be a fun learning experience for Lucia too.

Traveling the country as an All-Star Cheer parent has been a wonderful journey for me and I’m thrilled, along with my entire family, to be doing it again for her!

It’s in moments like these that I feel like I’m doing something right. My kids are setting examples for each other and showing such incredible character by going after their goals. What more could I ask for?
