Union saves the day

I absolutely love that I come from this incredibly tight-knit, friendly town called Union in New Jersey. Besides the fact that I had such a lovely time growing up here, I am amazed by how my hometown has come to my rescue in all shapes and forms.

Case in point - Two weeks ago, my son Nick was all set to DJ at a party and found out that the place didn’t have any WiFi to download music. I was just about to drive back to him with my phone so he could use my mobile Hotspot when I got a text from a friend from my high school in Union asking if Nick was DJing the party. I quickly explained the situation to her and she had her husband lend Nick his phone for quick internet access. And just like that, problem solved.

Here’s another incident. Just a few months ago, when Gianna was struggling with making friends in college, she stumbled upon people from Union who are now some of her closest friends.

It may not seem like much, but these moments make me believe that someone from my hometown’s always got my back everywhere I go, at all times. And I’ve got to admit, it’s a pretty great feeling.
